Cambridge Food Pantry & Garden

The Cambridge Food Pantry thanks you for your continued support.  Your monetary and food donations are helping over 300 people, each month, living in Cambridge.  The Cambridge Food Pantry is open for guests to shop every Monday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., doors unlock at 5:00 p.m.  Families are  invited to shop once every 14 days.  Donation hours are Monday 9 – 1 & 4 – 5 p.m., Tuesday 9 – 11 a.m. & Thursday 9 – 3 p.m.  The pantry is located at 211 South Street in Cambridge, under the blue awning.   A few items needed at the pantry are: TUNA, cereal, ravioli, crackers, hamburger helper and toilet paper.

As the weather continues to show signs of spring, planning has begun for the 2011 Cambridge Food Pantry Garden.  Last year’s pantry garden produced 3,000 pounds of fresh, locally grown organic produce.  One hundred percent of the produce grown at the pantry garden is donated directly to the Cambridge Food Pantry, for Monday night pantry shoppers.  Volunteers are needed to support the garden this year.  Some of the volunteer duties are planting, weeding, watering, weighing, transporting and harvesting produce from the garden to the food pantry.   ALL ages are welcome, green thumb NOT    necessary!!  Thank you for caring and sharing for those living in need.
